The U.S. Women’s Open Qualifier at Governor’s Club
Governor’s Club has been selected to host one of the 25 international qualifying matches for the U.S. Women’s Open, the pinnacle of women’s golf and the most advanced golfing competition for women in the world. The sectional qualifiers are the first steps towards the end of this epic tournament. The competition will narrow the most elite female golfers on the planet down to just six names the next several weeks that will then compete at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey this July.
But before all that, Governor’s Club has an exciting event to look forward to on June 12th. The qualifying match will take place at the 27-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. Not only will you be at one of the world’s most elite golf events, you’ll be able to see beautiful views of North Carolina’s natural beauty. On Monday, the entire course will be unavailable as the U.S. Women’s Open Qualifier will be going on (first round starting times begin at 7:30AM on Monday), so if you had planned on a golf outing during your stay, think about adjusting your plans and showing up to support the women that are attempting to fulfill their greatest aspiration.
Visit the club Tuesday to experience the course just like the pros did, using the same pin locations as the Qualifier match. The website has more information on the golf course, contact information to schedule a tour, and details on the championship design by Jack Nicklaus.
