Celebrate the Fall Season at the Festifall Festival in Chapel Hill, NC
What do autumn, art, and Chapel Hill all have in common? Festifall! Chapel Hill’s 45th Annual Festifall Arts Festival, to be held on October 1st, provides the community with a market of artists selling their handmade works and crafts. Throw in some live musical performances and food trucks and you have one of the regions’ most anticipated annual art shows. And it’s all located in Downtown Chapel Hill on Historic West Franklin Street giving us that picturesque North Carolina backdrop we cherish so much.
Arrive at West Franklin Street around noon for a quick bite to eat before Festifall kicks off—you can even stay on West Franklin and grab a bite at Vimala’s Curryblossom Café for farm-sourced Indian cuisine with vegan options. Or save your stomach and appetite for the mouthwatering food trucks that will be selling their unique food at Festifall alongside the varieties of art. Try Medley’s homemade cauliflower mac’n’cheese or chow down on a Bam Pow Chow plate of sliders. For any ice cream lovers that have a taste for dessert at all times of the day, Ben & Jerry’s will also be serving their ice cream at a stand.
Besides the delicious fresh food from the food truck experts, Festifall is here to provide a venue for artists to display their work, and for visitors to discover Chapel Hill’s talented artists. You’ll also find some other miscellaneous treasures on West Franklin like the bright blue Petals on the Go truck. It may look like a food truck at first (before you notice the vibrant bouquet of roses on the side) but this on-the-go florist offers reasonably priced bouquets, floral designs, and DIY flower crowns.
